Len Cook is a former NZ Government Statistician who held the same post in the UK for two terms. Len has been a top level public servant in the UK and New Zealand and he has views about the operation of public service under the Westminster system here and in the UK. He now works mainly in New Zealand and has recently been involved in several reviews of the health workforce.
Dr Graham Scott was Secretary to the New Zealand Treasury (1986-1993) during which time he was closely involved with the public sector organisational reform of the late 1980's. Graham is author of the book, Public Sector Management in New Zealand, published in 2001. He remains a close observer of the New Zealand public service and has advised a wide range of governments and international organisations on public service structures.
