Glenn Boyle, ISCR Distinguished Research Fellow
Glenn is the BNZ Chair of Finance at the University of Canterbury and an ISCR Distinguished Research Fellow. Between March 2004 and December 2008, he was Executive Director of the New Zealand Institute for the Study of Competition and Regulation. Glenn’s research interests include corporate finance, real options, financial incentives and executive compensation. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Texas in Austin, and an MA in Economics and BA Economics and History both from the University of Canterbury.
Toby Daglish, Dr
Toby Daglish is the ISCR Research Director. He holds a PhD in finance from the University of Toronto, and a BSc(hons) from the University of Canterbury, in mathematics. His research interests cover derivative pricing, fixed income securities and portfolio theory.
Lewis Evans
Lew is a Professor of Economics at Victoria University of Wellington. He was the inaugural Executive Director of the New Zealand Institute for the Study of Competition and Regulation. His specialisation is the economics of organisations and markets. He has published more than 40 refereed articles in leading international and local economics journals and has another 40 publications. He has held the positions of Visiting Associate Professor, Carnegie-Mellon University (School of Urban and Public Affairs) 1984, Visiting Fellow, Department of Economics, University of Wisconsin, 1991, Consultant at the RAND Corporation (Santa Monica, CA), in periods in 1995 and 1996, Visiting Professor at the University of Urbino, Italy, in 1996.
Bronwyn Howell
Bronwyn is currently General Manager of ISCR. She also teaches professional programmes in Economics, Information Economy and Advanced Corporate Management through the Victoria University School of Management.
Bronwyn's research interests include: Information Economics; Industrial Organisation with a focus on the Health and Technology Sectors.
Neil Quigley
Neil Quigley is Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research) and a Professor ofEconomics at Victoria University of Wellington, an adjunct scholar of
the C D Howe Institute in Toronto and a Research Principal at ISCR. His
specialist areas are in banking and insurance.
Recent research has focused on agent remuneration strategies and
product design issues in insurance markets, bank mergers and
competition policy, governance and regulation issues in financial markets
and network industries and private provision of accident compensation in
New Zealand, Australia and Canada. Professor Quigley has provided
strategic and policy advice on banking and insurance issues to firms and
officials in Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
Yigit Saglam, Dr
